Barron County, WI – Barron County is excited to kick off the update of its
Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP) for 2025-2030, a strategic blueprint
to enhance parks, trails, and recreational opportunities across the county. To ensure the plan reflects the needs and vision of our community, we invite residents, businesses, and visitors to participate in an online public input survey, available now at this link
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/barronrec2025 or using the QR Code below.

The online survey is open now through June 27, 2025, and your input is essential to
creating a plan that serves everyone in Barron County. By taking our 5-10 minute
survey, you can help guide the future of outdoor recreation and assist with further
prioritizing potential projects over the next five years.
The CORP is also a critical requirement for securing federal and state grant funding,
such as the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), which has supported over
46,000 recreation projects nationwide. An updated CORP, aligned with Wisconsin’s
Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) ensures Barron County’s
eligibility for grants to fund outdoor recreation projects and accessibility improvements.
Recent county initiatives, like the 2023 bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure plan,
demonstrate our commitment to leveraging such funds to enhance community spaces
without overburdening local budgets.
Join us in shaping Barron County’s recreational future! Take the survey today to help create accessible, sustainable, and vibrant outdoor spaces for all.
