Pete Clemetson of rural Ridgeland lost his home and all of his belongings in a chimney fire back in March. “He got out okay, but with just what was on his back,” says his cousin, Becky Loofboro.

A benefit for Clemetson is planned for Wednesday, May 8, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ridgeland Community Center. The event includes a freewill offering meal of pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, milk, and coffee; a basket raffle; and a bake sale.

Loofboro is accepting donations for the basket raffle and bake sale. She can be reached at 715-642-0100. Monetary donations can be made to the Pete Clemetson Fund at Security Bank in Ridgeland.
