Locally run newspapers are a rarity these days. We're proud to say we've been here since 1987, and have no intention of quitting. That being said, the cost of producing a newspaper is subject to fluctuations in printing costs and advertising revenue. Your donations help us to build a cushion to get through those moments when we fall a little short. In 2024 we started making our paper and advertising available to everythone online. This endeavor takes additional expenses, and your donations also help support that growth.

Donating online incurs an additional 2.9% +$.30 to cover transaction costs, which is already reflected in the amount shown above.
