You may have had Mae Ona Repp as your first-grade teacher at the Ridgeland School.
Perhaps your children or grandchildren were Mae Ona Repp students at the Ridgeland School?
Perhaps you were a fellow teacher there during her 40+ years of service to the school and its children?
Perhaps you have been a fellow West Akers Lutheran Church member, where Mae Ona Repp was baptized 100 years ago this July. The very church her grandparents helped found and nurture?
Perhaps you’ve been a neighbor of Mae Ona Repp southwest of Prairie Farm, where she and her husband, Lawrence, moved and began farming in the late 1940s?
Born in Vance Creek Township in 1925, Mae Ona Repp will celebrate her 100th birthday this July, and friends of hers invite those who have known and appreciated her and Lawrence (Lawrence passed away in 2020) to honor that birthday and the woman who has been a stalwart member of our greater Hay River community for a century.
Please send greeting cards, letters of reflection and appreciation, shout-outs of birthday greetings, or just good wishes to Mae Ona by mail to:
David Williams, 1413 Oakwood Avenue, Menomonie, WI 54751
You may also send your wishes by email to: williamsda@uwstout.edu.
Please send me your contribution by June 30 to be compiled in time for Mae Ona's birthday.
We should always honor and thank our teachers, especially Mae Ona Repp, who has been such a vital part of nurturing our community for 100 years.
100- Mae Ona Repp cherishes a moment from her soon-to-be 100 years of life.
