Dairy Days Rubber Duck Race

A highlight of Prairie Farm Dairy Days is the annual rubber duck race, which is coordinated by the Ladies Civic Club.

This year, 500 rubber ducks were released into the Hay River off Pioneer Park. The ducks floated down the river, over the dam, and to the finish line. Jack Guldvog followed the flock in his kayak, ensuring that the ducks stayed the course and didn't get stuck.

The ducks were numbered sequentially, and members of the public could purchase a number before the race. The first 10 ducks to cross the finish line won cash prizes.

Below, Ladies Civic Club members hold a list of this year's winners. The first duck to cross the finish line was #452, which was purchased by Matt Mohn.
